Our client in Shawford wanted to extend his riverside cottage, but felt that doubling its size would lose the cottage’s original form. He decided to build a separate building joined to the original cottage. His solution was a traditional oak framed building. The buildings glass was upgraded to increase its thermal efficiently due to the large areas.
